These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Tokyo Mithaiwala website and your purchase of products from us. By completing a purchase, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

These Terms may be updated periodically. The version in effect at the time of your order governs that transaction.

All products are handcrafted in small batches and are subject to seasonal availability. We reserve the right to:

• Modify, discontinue, or substitute any product or ingredient without prior notice.
• Correct pricing errors at any time prior to order confirmation; you will be notified of any change before your order is processed.
• Adjust product weights by ±5% due to the handmade nature of our sweets.

Placing an item in your cart does not constitute a confirmed order. A binding contract is formed only when you receive an email order confirmation from us.

• Orders must be placed at least 48 hours in advance for local Surrey pickup.
• Custom wedding and catering orders require a minimum 10-day lead time and a non-refundable deposit of 30%.
• We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order at our discretion, with a full refund issued promptly.

We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), PayPal, and other methods shown at checkout. All payment information is processed securely by our third-party payment gateway. Tokyo Mithaiwala does not store card details.

Your card is charged at the time of order placement. For catering bookings, the deposit is charged immediately and the balance is due 5 days before the event date.

Our sweets are crafted in a kitchen that handles milk, nuts (cashews, pistachios, almonds), saffron, ghee, and wheat. Cross-contamination is possible. We are unable to guarantee any product is completely free from allergens.

By placing an order, you confirm that you have reviewed the ingredient information and accept responsibility for any dietary choices made.

All content on this website — including photographs, recipes, branding, copy, and design — is the exclusive property of Tokyo Mithaiwala and protected under Canadian copyright law. You may not:

• Reproduce, redistribute, or resell any content without written permission.
• Use our brand name, logo, or imagery in any commercial context.
• Scrape or extract product data in bulk for any purpose.

Personal, non-commercial use (e.g. sharing a product photo on social media) is permitted and appreciated — please tag us @tokyomithaiwala.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tokyo Mithaiwala's liability for any claim arising from a purchase shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific order in question.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including but not limited to delays caused by shipping carriers, or perishable goods affected by factors outside our control after handover to the courier.

We may revise these Terms at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
